You can do this in the wiki by going to the link Manage Wiki and sending your partner a comment. However, if you want to share your comments with everyone in the group, you can also go into Journal 3
and click on Journal 3 instructions and post your comment.
Your fellow teachers can not view your video unless you send them an email. So you must add their contact email to your
flip share contacts. If you do not send an invite through flip share, no one can open your video. Here is a list of everyone's email.

We will DISCUSS how you can create pre listening or viewing activities, viewing activities, post viewing activities and an evaluation for your curriculum. Discuss what materials you might develop for the video in these 4 areas:
, (1)PRE-ACTVITY if you have a video about weather. Perhaps you will have a handout of vocabulary about the weather. This could be a handout for students that you will upload to your wiki as a pre-listening activity, then the students would watch the video. (2)DURING ACTIVITY Or create a handout that students use while they are watching the video. This handout might be a list of words that the student checks of as he/she listens to the video. (3) POST ACTIVITY : Perhaps you will ask students to model an activity after the video. In other words, if the video talked about weather using a particular language pattern, the students would imitate the pattern by making their own video, or creating an oral presentation.
(4) EVALUATION OF ACTIVITY ; What is your criteria for evaluation of proficiency? How do you measure students' progress and build on their skills?
We will be working in pairs in Workshop #2 so you and your partner can work together to create (1) (2) (3) (4). Talk to your partner
before workshop #2 . You can send each other email through the wiki.

• During the workshop you will collaborate with another teacher on a video that you intend to develop or find to teach Chinese language or culture proficiency • With a colleague in the workshop begin to design a written/ oral/ or reading, cultural understanding assignment that includes video. The assignment would ask students to perform a pre-listening, listening and post-listening activity that would require them some kind of multi-modal response that could include image with text, video with text, etc. • Post your completed assignment the shared group wiki so that all participants in workshop can see your work • Comment on at least three of your colleague’s assignments.
